Ella arrests all the ad violators.)

Jake Ronson would enjoy being arrested by Dani

Ella brandishes her gun. And her wedding ring. Then looks for some ginger tea. Early pregnancy is a bitch.)

Jake Ronson is confused now

Melissa Fuchs: Booth's wife

Ella's job here is done then. Ad violators arrested peacefully, ginger tea for morning sickness acquired. Time for paperwork. The only duty available to a pregnant federal agent.)

Seeley: Yes. My wife.

Jake Ronson: Well this is f-list. All marriages are by definition open.

Ella gasps! Shit it's Seeley! “Oh hey honey. I was just doing some peaceful arresting. Simple nonviolent stuff. Andrews approved it. See?” She handed over her paperwork. “I think he wanted me to feel useful.”

Ella: (The Booths are not in an open marriage. Seeley will kill you. Dani could kill you but she's expecting, so…)

Seeley shook his head and laughed. “I'm surprised he let you out of the office with a gun. Please tell me it doesn't have any ammunition in it?”

Ella unholstered her gun and twirled it in a way that no respecting fed would if it were loaded. “I have a clip on the hip. Just in case but it wasn't needed.” Seeley knew how quick his wife could have a gun unholstered, loaded, aimed, and fired.

Seeley tilted his head. “Good.”

Ella slipped her gun back into her holster and stepped close to her husband, wrapping her arms around him. “You're going to be at my side constantly until I deliver, aren't you?” She chuckled, kissing his cheek.

Seeley grinned his cheeky, lopsided grin back at his wife. “What makes you think I would do anything different? Andrews okayed it, so I'm seconded to your department for the duration.”

Ella's jaw dropped. “You've been…transferred…temporarily…to my department…” She looked flabbergasted, then playfully smacked his arm. “Seeley, you sly fox!” She laughed.

Seeley rubbed his arm where she struck him. “Ow!” Still grinning, smouldering. “He knows a good agent when he sees one, and I'm getting old. You're a better marksman than I am, now.”

“You are not old, Seeley.” She said softly. “Stop acting like you're a geriatric, you're only forty-six.” She smiled. “Stop emphasizing how old you are, people are going to think I have a father complex.” The thought made her stomach turn and her grip on him tightened a minute as she shuddered.

Seeley snorted and licked his lips, turning away to maintain his composure. It took him a few moments to turn back. “No, I've still got a lot of life in me, but as a field agent?” He'd already turned down two promotions. One in DC, one to be Director in Berlin. “I should be moving on.”

“You better have a lot of life in you. Maybe take the promotion for Assistant Director?” She suggested. Anything to distract from the whole 'Daddy' train of thought. They'd had that discussion and both had shot that down real quick. I'm a grown-ass woman, Seeley. Only time I'm calling you Daddy is when I'm telling our kids to ask you something. And he'd been in agreement. Good. I can take care of you just fine without being called that. He'd shuddered, and it was a good thing Dani hadn't been pregnant then, she would have had even more nausea. As it stood, she suffered hyperemesis. Keeping things down was hard enough.

Seeley rolled his neck, the popping a cacophony of pops and crackles. “Next time it's offered? In a heartbeat. I hate being cooped up behind a desk, but… It's getting to that point where I should do it. So much paperwork!” He hated the amount he had to do as it was. “For now, Andrews has to put up with me though.”

“Great. Two overprotective men. One loves me, the other sees me as an asset to be protected.” She groaned, a playful roll of her eyes. “Between the two of you, I'll be lucky to go to the bathroom alone.” She chuckled, then peered at him. “I texted the younger Caldwell. She says Summer was released after a week in the ICU and has been recovering at home in the week since. She also reports the woman is going mad with a lack of things to do. I asked how she was doing and she said she's still sore, but all that's left are fading bruises. Miss Jenson needed stitches for her lip and is also recovering from a variety of bruising.”

Seeley reached up to pinch the bridge of his nose. “Good. Maybe you'll pay attention to one of us!” He dropped his hand down and grinned at her. “Good to hear they're safe. I know Mr Hayden will be doing his best to take care of Summer, despite her wish to remain active. Even if it requires tying her to one of the structural members.” He meant that metaphorically speaking. Didn't he? He'd never tell. There were rumours about what the pair got up to behind closed doors, but nothing to corroborate them. “They'll heal. It was some ordeal for them.”

Kaine: (You might think that, but I couldn't possibly comment.)

Summer: (Not the kiss and tell type, myself.)

Ella: (Aren't you supposed to be tied to something, Miss Caldwell?)

Summer: (No more than you are, preggo. Get on that, Seeley.)

Seeley: (The lady doth protest too much, methinks.)

Ella leaned up and kissed his nose. “I can empathize with her. I'm already tired of paperwork, despite Andrews calling my brain a jewel in the department. You might be the one tying me to a structural member.” She waggled her eyebrows and burst into laughter.

Summer: (Listen. If restraining me sets me free from this cage I feel stuck in, so be it.)

Ella: (There's your cue Kaine. Tie up the she-wolf. Problem solved.)

Kaine: (What makes you think that isn't in the plans? Just… Not in public.)

Summer: (*Devilish grin*)

Ella: (You two wolves are gonna be having pups before long.)

Summer: (Hm. We hadn't discussed that yet. Kaine?)

Kaine: (I… Hadn't thought of children. I hadn't even thought of having a partner…)

Summer: (We're too busy appreciating each other right now. Children can come later. In the meantime…practice. Right?)

Ella: (I think I broke Seeley…)

Summer: (Maybe he's thinking about wrapping you in rope. Tying you up. Hell, that's hot. Pretty agent all wrapped in silk rope sporting a lil baby bump….)

Ella: (I'm still flat, thank you. First baby. Won't show for a while. Abs of steel and whatnot.)

Seeley: (Seeley.EXE needs a few moments to reset from a blue screen of death. Please hold!)

Summer: (Pfft. You're going to look so gorgeous with a baby belly when you do start showing.)

Seeley: (She looks gorgeous, period)

Ella: (Daniela.exe needs a moment. Water damage. I'm not crying, you are!)

Summer: (Pregnancy makes you cry a lot, I've heard. From pregnant associates.)

Kaine: (One day you'll get to experience that. Just not today)

Ella: (They're not wrong. I cried at everything.)

Seeley: (I've noticed. It's why I carry a dozen packs of tissues around with me.)

Ella: (I still cry at the drop of a hat. Because one day I'll drop a hat and I'll be too huge to pick it….pardon me a moment. *Sniffles*)

Summer: (Oh god. I won't be able to go out in public. I can't be seen crying.)

Seeley tilted his head at Ella's assertion, trying to hold back a chortle and failing miserably. “That can be arranged. You know it can.” Was there a twinkle in his eye where he was already figuring out the logistics of how to manage without hurting the baby, or preventing her from running to the bathroom? Or some other possibility? Who know what was going through his head but him.

Seeley: (I'll help with the hat, don't worry.)

Ella: (I'm gonna be a fat whale, Seeley. fuck the hat.)

Kaine: (You have a 12,000 square foot penthouse with a swimming pool to roam. You'll be fine, my Rose.)

Seeley: (I'd rather fuck you, Ella.)

Seeley: (Again)

Summer: (Oh that's right. We're rich as—*snerk*)

Seeley: (More)

Seeley: (Is there a right word there?)

Ella: (I mean, we already do every night and morning. We can add in afternoon delight there…)

Summer: (Oh my god get a room you two.)

Seeley: (We have a whole house!)

Ella: (We have plenty of rooms. We've fucked and made love in them all…)

Summer: (And here we find out more about two of the FBI's finest than we bargained for. Alright…but has he tied you to a pommel yet?)

Kaine: (Summer!)

Ella: (Tied…to a pommel? How…what…)

Seeley: (The pommel of a sword? What? How?)

Summer: (Not a sword. Like the thing gymnasts use. That thing. Not that I'd know. I saw a porn once.)

Ella: (Just once? You sure about that?)

Kaine: (It's called a pommel horse. The thing gymnasts vault over)

Blue Mage Quistis: (Mhm. Pommel Horse. It's correct.

Ella: (That sounds…kinky.)

Summer: (Oh it's lots of fun. I mean. It looked like lots of fun. I wouldn't know.)

Blue Mage Quistis: (Tying anyone up to gym equipment could be.)

Ella: (Mhm. And I'm pregnant with twins.)

Seeley: (Twins? What? How? I saw the ultrasound?)

Seeley: (Oh, wait… You're being sarcastic… Phew!)

Ella: (I think Kaine ties Summer up to his equipment alright. And yes, my love. Sarcasm. *chuckles*)

Kaine: (You might think that, but I couldn't possibly comment.)

Summer: (KAINE! Everyone knows that's a confirmation!)

Ella: (Good thing there's no reporters in here.)

Kaine: (Oh right, I say that this time and you admonish me. I say it the last time and nothing. What's the difference? Just you wait, my Rose…)

Ella: (Someone's in trouuble….)

Summer: (GOOD!)

Kaine: (… I have no words…)

Seeley: (Leave the nice lady alone to heal, Ella. She had a rough time.)

Ella: (Okay but it sounds like she just got herself a rougher time. Of the lovely sort. Just saying!)

Summer: (You're not wrong, Missus Booth.)

Seeley sighs)

Kaine: (You might think that, but… Oh, who am I kidding?)

Summer: (Hey Seeley. I'm reading this book because my one receptionist is pregnant, and it says the libido goes through the roof during pregnancy. I think the Missus is just reveling in that.)

Ella: (My sex drive was perfectly healthy before this, thank you. Okay maybe it's gone up a little….)

Seeley: (I think she already made that obvious with previous comments)

Summer: (Need some Cialis, old man?)

Ella: (He has no need of such things. His is equal to mine.)

Ella: (And quit calling him an old man!!! He is not old! He's my sexy beast.)

Seeley: (Only I can call myself old. -glare-)

Summer: (Well, tie me up and call me cupcake, someone's cranky. Two someones.)

Ella: (Seeley, call yourself old one more time and I'll spank you.)

Kaine: (Okay cupcake. The rope will come later.)

Seeley: (I'm old. Don't think you'll get away with that though.)

Summer: (Goddamnit, that's my name now, isn't it.)

Kaine: (Hey, you're the one who said it. Who am I to disagree, cupcake?)

Ella: (Miss Caldwell, language! Seeley…you're gonna get it when you get home…)

Seeley: (I'll enjoy watching you try!)

Summer: (Shit. Why didn't I think of something badass like boobookittyfuck or something? Cupcake it is…extra frosting.)

Kaine: (What? -facepalm-)

Ella: (Fuck trying. I'll be doing. You.)

Seeley: (I think you have that the wrong way around, Ella.)

Ella: (Fuck doing, you'll be trying me? Try doing, you'll be fucking me?)

Summer: (Whose dick do I have to curse to get laid around here?)

Seeley: (You're lucky I love you… I'll be doing you.)

Summer: (*Eyeballs Kaine*)

Kaine: (Didn't you already manage that?)

Ella: (I am lucky you love me. Every time we go to Mass I thank God for the day you found me and we swapped guns for a minute.)

Summer: (Shit. Now I have diabetes.)

Ella: (You and Kaine are just as sweet. Don't think I don't see beneath the wolves. Everyone saw that picture in the Post. Kaine was worried.)

Summer: (You hush.)

Summer: (Go home and get fucked, preggo.)

Beaten Baker inhales

Beaten Baker SCREEEEEEEE-

Kaine: (You mean like I'm going to do to you, cupcake?)

Summer glared at the scrreeer. “Goddamn, man, you mind? Kinda recovering from being shot and stabbed here.”

Summer: (Oh. Oh my. Yes. Yes I mean like that.)

Beaten Baker squints. Loudly.

Summer glares right back, green eyes cold. Thousand yard stare.

“I'd say noise ordinance violation but I've heard some loud sounds coming from this place at times….” She remarked drily, leaning against her husband.

Beaten Baker slinks to the kitchen. Angry weeb noises.

“Make me a goddamn sandwich while you're in there, pup!” She demanded. Hmpf. Making noise and shit.

Beaten Baker shouts back. “I'm not your goddamn slave, make it yourself you lazy-ass fuck!”

“You're not my slave but I'll make you my bitch if you don't bring me a goddamn watercress sandwich!” She yelled back, shifting in her chair and holding Kaine's hand. “Do I have any pain medicine left?” She asked him quietly.

Seeley bumps his hip against Ella. “Be nice. They have a license.”

Kaine snorts. “Behave.” He reaches into his pocket to pull out a stack of pills, some missing from previous use. “I think that's a yes, cupcake.”

Beaten Baker isn't going to let up. “Fuck off! I'm not making any sandwiches for anyone!” Looks like the tsundere isn't taking shit from anyone today. Sassy.

Ella bumps his hip back and grins. “You're lucky I love you, handsome.” She smiled. Mob princess and the Fed. Some days she was glad Gabriella was dead. “Pardon me a moment.” She walked into the kitchen and poked the weeb on the shoulder. “Pardon me, but I'd hate to get in your way while you're working in here. I'm pregnant, and I'm hungry. Could I pretty please trouble you to make me a watercress sandwich? She mentioned them, and now I really want one. Two, if it's not too much trouble.” She asked nicely, blue eyes twinkling kindly.

Summer growled. And pouted. “May I have one? I hurt all over.” She sighed. She hated taking the damn things, they made her loopy as fuck but the pain was bothering her at the moment.

Kaine popped out a pill for her, into her hand. “Water? Coffee? Tea? Something else?”

“I guess just water, please.” She murmured, rubbing the bridge of her nose.

Beaten Baker squints, before letting out an agitated huff. “…Fine. Just.. Leave me alone while I make them.” He turns to go find whatever ingredients he may need and fucking YEETS some unnecessary ingredients across the room, like, holy shit Naruki, calm down. Aaaaaand of course, he gets to work on the sandwiches, his resting bitch face really shining at the moment. What a dork.

“Thank you so much. I'll stay out of your hair. My best friend is a baker, she hates having people in the kitchen when she's baking. You're a peach, truly.” She left the kitchen and leaned back into Seeley with a soft smile.

Kaine stood up and walked behind the bar, selecting a highball glass and scooping a small amount of ice into it, then grabbing the hose and spraying water into it, roughly two thirds high. He brought the glass back to the table, sliding it in front of Summer. “There you go, Cupcake.”

Seeley reached over to stroke her hair softly. “How're you feeling? Still queasy? How're the bands helping?”

“I'm never escaping Cupcake now, am I?” She groaned, popping the pill into her mouth and taking a swig of the water. “Thank you, love.” She said softly, leaning her head back against the chair.

Beaten Baker slinks out of the kitchen with the sandwiches on a few plates, and hands them to the respective people who wanted them. Following that, he just slinks back in the direction of the kitchen without a word, and goes to make whatever it was that he went in there for in the first place.

“I'm a little queasy, but hungry. The bands are helping a little but the OB said to not be surprised if they don't help at all some days.” She said, taking the sandwiches from the baker and smiling. “Thank you very much.” She said gently.

Summer was apparently surprised as she was given a sandwich. Her eyes opened. “Ah. Thank you. This will help the nausea from the medicine, thank you.” Docile wolfess for the moment.

Ella: (Spoiler alert, Summer is actually a sweetheart.)

Summer: (Shut. Up. Daniela.)

Ella: (Make. Me. Cupcake.)

Kaine shook his head as he tucked the wodge of pills into his pocket once more. “No, my Rose, you're never escaping Cupcake. You shall now, and forevermore, be my Cupcake, and I will hug you, and squeeze you, and call you Cupcake.” He couldn't help but break down in titters and giggles as he went on.

Seeley: (I will… Shush, Ella)

Seeley nodded in the direction of the sandwich she just received. “Eat it slowly. You know trying to wolf it down will just upset your stomach.” He still had some gingernut biscuits in his pocket in case of emergencies, but real food was better.

Summer made a face. “Gah…fuck me.” She groaned, though her eyes sparkled. Secretly, she liked it from Kaine.

Kaine continued to laugh, her expression just making it roll on longer before he could respond. “Later, Cupcake.”

Ella whined. She wanted to scarf it down, but she knew her husband was right. “Alright.” She nibbled at it. It was really good. Wolf it down, Dani… Another nibble.

Summer was quiet for a while, but then when she looked at Kaine, her eyes were slightly glassy. “I…wanna go home now…” She whispered softly. The room was tilting slightly.

Kaine took Summer by the hand. “Come on then.” He grabbed his phone and sent a message for Giles to come around and pick them up at the door. Not letting her walk to far. “Lean on me.”

Summer stood, wobbly on her feet, leaning on him. Heels clacking…no, she wasn't wearing heels. Flats. Soundless. But even so, in the haze that was descending on her, there was still fire in her eyes. Claws on tile. She-devil. The She-Wolf of New York was alive and well beneath the fog.

Ella slowly finished her sandwich, the other wrapped in a napkin for home. “I suppose we should head home too, Mister Booth?” She asked quietly, gazing up at her husband. “I mean, I'm sure it's your naptime, right?” She teased.

She knew neither of them would be sleeping. Pregnancy didn't stop the magic they made together.

Seeley raised one eyebrow in return, waiting patiently as she finished her craving. “You do know I'm neither a child nor a geriatric needing a nap?” He snorted, but he was still grinning. “Let's go home. Somewhere I can keep an eye on you. Among other things.”

“Eyes. Hands. Body. Same thing.” She murmured quietly, smiling serenely as the two agents made their way out and home.
